ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You will work directly under senior DevOps engineers, supporting and owning day-to-day infrastructure tasks across multiple live client environments. This is a hands-on role you will be expected to contribute from the start, with guidance available when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (VPC, ECS, EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS) using Terraform modules.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Manage production deployments on ECS and staging/QA environments on Elastic Beanstalk or EC2.
  • Configure and maintain application secrets and environment variables using Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
  • Manage encryption using KMS and ensure private connectivity via VPC endpoints and peering connections.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot deployment and environment issues.
  • Support frontend deployments on AWS Amplify and CloudFront.
  • Assist with Azure environments (App Services, Static Web Apps, Front Door) on client-specific projects.
  • Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure changes and deployment procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role. Strong internship experience is acceptable.
  • AWS: working knowledge of core services: VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, RDS, SQS. Understands how these services interact in a production setup.
  • Terraform: able to read, understand, and modify existing infrastructure code. Familiar with state management and module structure.
  • CI/CD experience building or maintaining pipelines in GitHub Actions or a comparable tool.
  • Docker: comfortable building images, working with ECR, and understanding how containers are deployed.
  • Linux: confident working in the terminal, writing bash scripts, reading logs, and debugging issues on remote servers.
  • Networking fundamentals: DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancers, SSL/TLS certificates, private vs public subnets.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Hands-on experience with AWS ECS, task definitions, service configuration, and ALB integration.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes. We are gradually migrating workloads and there is room to grow in this area.
  • Experience with Azure (App Services, Front Door, Static Web Apps).
  • Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, AWS Bedrock or Azure AI Foundry.
  • AWS certification: Solutions Architect Associate or Developer Associate.(Not necessary)
